CLASS OF 2010 GRADUATION
Sixteen students graduated from Archbishop Walsh Academy in Olean on Friday, June 25th, 2010 at a ceremony held at the Regina A. Quick Center at Saint Bonaventure University. The guest speaker, Edward Gabriel, an Archbishop Walsh graduate, served as the ambassador to Morocco. The Class of 2010 was awarded $468,775 in scholarship monies, an astonishing figure considering the small class size.

OLEAN AREA CATHOLIC SCHOOL RECEIVE A $160,000 GIFT
John J. “Jack” Murphy, retired CEO of Dresser Industries, made a generous donation of $160, 000 to Archbishop Walsh Academy and Southern Tier Catholic School. The donation was made in honor of Mary Walsh Murphy. The library will be dedicated in her memory. The gift supports the Capital Campaign which invests in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, new scholarship programs, and campus modernization. Mr. Murphy is a graduate of Southern Tier Catholic School, formerly St. Mary’s Elementary School.

ARCHBISHOP WALSH TO OFFER GLOBALLY RECOGNIZED CURRICULUM
OLEAN - Along with a new name for their school, students at Archbishop Walsh Academy will also have a broader, more widely recognized curriculum to study.
To go with the new name, students will be able to take advantage of a globally recognized curriculum, according to Walsh officials.
